From the Bible we are told that the Jewish temple was built out of stones quarried out of mountains; and every stone was fitted for its precise place in the temple. All stones were hewn, polished, and tested before being brought to Jerusalem. When all the hewn stones were brought to the ground, the building went together without the sound of an ax or hammer.

This building represents God’s spiritual people, which is composed of materials gathered out of every nation, and of all grades, rich and poor, learned and unlearned. People are living stones, quarried out from the world by the truth, and their great Master Builder is God. We are now being fitted for our respective places where we can best serve God. Our temple is to be perfect in all its parts; the admiration of angels and of men. All for the purpose of God to be glorified. (My thoughts with November 6, 2018, Collegiate Quarterly).
