Love, Gold, and God

Love can transform and transmute ugly dross to gold. Love can engender wisdom, change your mind, and help the penniless to become rich beyond their dreams. To be loved gives a feeling of gratification. To inspire someone to love is a virtue. But to show love is to go after a heart, and that places you nearer to God.

Jesus says to “love one another as I have loved you.” That is when love is at its best. That’s love without a trace of selfishness. It’s love that seeks the good in others. Jesus willingly went to the cross for the sake of mankind. It is beyond most humans understanding. It’s definitely the kind of love we need to daily seek for.
