Another New Year is about to begin. Therefore so should our walk with God in 2018, begin with intensity.
The Bible, the most read book of all time, has the greatest standard of choosing to do right and letting you know the things that are wrong. It clearly defines the difference between sin and holiness. We can choose to have its principals run through our lives like threads of gold or choose principals that will fill us with dark brokenness. It is our only safeguard when facing trials and temptations.
Consider the Bible as a chart that you follow because it leads you to truth. If you are acquainted with this chart you will be enabled to walk with certainty wherever your path of duty calls you to go. If you lose your faith in this chart you will lose your guide, and will have no safeguard.
When the Word of God is set aside, its power to restrain evil is rejected. But when you search the Scriptures for light for your path, heavenly angels come near to impress your mind and to enlighten your understanding (My thoughts with The Faith I Live By, January 1, p. 7).
