Why We Need Redemption
Everyone is a sinful being, and as sinful humans we can’t have a place in God’s kingdom. But, when we accept Jesus and believe in His sure and trustworthy promises, we can again become right with God. It’s good to ponder how amazing it is that God no longer remembers our sinful past…..as long as we allow Him to control our lives. There are a few steps to follow to gain a heavenly home.
We must establish a relationship with God so we can be in the royal family of God.
Our sins will be forgiven (called amazing grace).
We now have access to eternal life (something we can’t understand as sinners living on this earth). It’s something we must accept by faith because eternal life will come when Jesus takes us to heaven.
Now the Holy Spirit can live in us. Another thing we don’t fully understand, because God hasn’t revealed all things about the Holy Spirit to us. The Holy Spirit won’t live within us if we choose to be unholy.
Redemption allows us to be new creations. We now can stand up and face the tribulations of this world knowing we have the power of the Almighty at our backs.
