“Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches; but let him that thinks he is glorified, glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord which exercise’s loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth; for in these things I delight, says the Lord. Jeremiah 9:23, 24.
Let us keep our Bibles always with us. And as you have opportunity, read a text and meditate upon it. You can do this while walking, while waiting for an appointment or an engagement. This will improve the opportunity to gain some precious thought from the treasure house of truth.
As a student of the Bible beholds the Redeemer, there will be awakened in the soul the mysterious power of adoration, love, and faith. You want your gaze to be fixed upon a vision of Jesus. By beholding Him you grow into the likeness of that which you learn to adore (My thoughts added with Education, page 191).
