Where Did Evil Originate

The answer is moral freedom. Because if people are truly free, then they have the option to do wrong. Another question many ask is why didn’t God blot out the evil ones and spare the rest of us the horrible results of rebellion? If you know about the controversy that is going on between Christ and Satan all around us, then you should know the answer gets to the heart of that great controversy. The Lord runs a kind of “open” government, and though much about Him and His ways is mysterious, He will resolve the controversy in a way that will forever end all questions about His self-denial, goodness, justice, love, and law. After Christ’s Second Coming, the redeemed will live and reign with Him for a thousand years, and will have an active role in the judgment. This will finalize the long-playing drama of the great controversy. Redemption is ours and refers to full salvation, deliverance, rescue, liberation, emancipation, and the conversion that comes through Jesus. It’s a marvelous thing that we can go directly to our Father in heaven (through Jesus) and experience loving grace when He forgives us of our sins. Think about living each day between now and eternity filled with joy because we know we have been redeemed. What a marvelous thought (My thoughts with March 23, 2016 Collegiate Quarterly). Sherry
