The Character of Christ

The pent-up fires of envy and malice, hatred and revenge, burst forth on Calvary against the Son of God, while all heaven gazed upon the scene in silent horror. – The Great Controversy, page 501. We need to study day and night the character of Christ. It was His tender compassion, His inexpressible, unparalleled love for your soul that lead Him to endure all the shame, the revilings, the abuse, and the misapprehensions of earth. Approach nearer Him, behold His hands and His feet, bruised and wounded for your (our) transgressions. “The chastisement of your (our) peace was upon him, and with his stripes you (we) are healed.” – That I May Know Him, page 56.
