Satan's Evil Power

Did you know that fallen man is Satan’s lawful captive? The mission of Jesus on this earth was to rescue man from Satan’s power. Man is naturally inclined to follow so terrible a foe, unless Jesus, the mighty conqueror, dwells within man, guiding his desires, and giving him strength. GOD ALONE CAN LIMIT THE POWER OF SATAN. Satan is constantly going to and fro in the earth, and walking up and down in it. He is not off his watch for a single moment through fear of losing an opportunity to destroy souls. It is so important that those that serve God and are His people understand this - that they may escape Satan’s snares (I made the first sentence a question and added a few other words, the quote is from Messages to Young People, p. 51).
