Jesus is a Privilege
The greatest scholars and the most educated, sat at Jesus feet and learned from Him. He taught as one with authority. Jesus is different in that He never wrote a book, yet you will find libraries are filled with books that have been written about Him. He never wrote a song, but think of all the songs that have in them His name as the central theme. He never established a college or an educational institution of any kind, but He has more students than all the schools combined. Jesus teaches how to be profitable, how to pray, how to be faithful, how to be humble, how to love, and to obey all that is taught in His Word. What shall it profit us to get the highest degree in our land, to know all the mysteries of the sciences, to be able to recite history, to speak multiple languages, to sit on the pinnacle of the educational world, but yet not know Jesus, who is the master of all? The answer is but one answer, Nothing! When Jesus lived on earth it was a wonderful privilege to be where He was. For us living now, our privilege is having the Bible, having the freedom to attend church, and being able to pray to Him directly. How thankful we should be that we are still free to do so (My thoughts with In the Morning by Ochs, page 352). Sherry
