Helping Those in Dispair

Will those living outside Christ come to know Him? Will those living in despair, without a home, chained to the consequences of wrong decisions, come to accept Christ as their Savior? Many people are dead in sin and are in great need of the good news of salvation to be revived back to life. What must I do to ensure that such people come back home? Are they waiting for a messenger to help them find their way to the Source of life? In situations of hopelessness and despair, God responds with messages of hope and courage. Where there are dry bones, God sees living beings. God can lead us to those in need of hope, encouragement, and the good news of salvation; if you are willing to be used. In the valley of decision, countless individuals struggle with difficult situations. Broken relationships, unemployment, drug abuse, diseases, divorce, and many other difficult situations that present major challenges. In those difficult times for those who struggle, God is able to use you and me as His agents to accomplish great things in the world. Our responsibility is to heed His command. When we follow God’s guidance, we will have the right words to speak and will know how to show those in despair that someone does care. That’s when we through the working of the Holy Spirit, help someone to find freedom from the bondage of sin and hopelessness (My thoughts added with George Otieno of Homa Bay, Kenya from the Collegiate Quarterly, July 21, 2016).
