Christ's Presence

Everyone needs the religion of Christ. Having Him means more than the forgiveness of sin; it means that sin is taken completely away; it means that the mind will be divinely illumined, and the heart will be emptied of self and filled with the very presence of Christ.

Christ’s presence in the heart is the vitalizing power that will strengthen your entire being. And His indwelling Spirit makes His power our property. You need never feel that Christ is far away……for He is always near. His loving presence will always surround you if you so desire.

Don’t wait passively for the Spirit to work in you, but actively seek Him so you can know His will for your life. Pray and ask Him for the desire to study His Word. The Holy Spirit, a teacher, will guide you. Seek Him if you want to be inspired to do things you would not normally be able to do (My thoughts added to a few sentences taken from Our High Calling, p. 154, and a paragraph from the Collegiate Quarterly, January 18, 2017, by D.
