Blessed Assurance

Iniquity had its origin in the life of the evil one – Satan. Of him Jesus said: “He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own; for he is a liar, and the father of it.” Truth and iniquity do not dwell together, nor do they have anything in common. Truth elevates the life, and enriches the soul. While iniquity degrades and brings the soul down. When you are truthful it frees you from transgressing, and keeps you from falling into sin. Truth also unites you with the One who said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” Don’t let iniquity separate you from all that is noble and good. Don’t let it separate you from God and the reading of His Word. TRUTH IS AN ATTRIBUTE OF GOD. Walking in the ways of iniquity will keep you out of heaven, but when you walk with God in truth, your walk in heaven is assured (My thoughts with In the Morning, by Ochs, page 223). Sherry
