Nothing Between Me and My Savior

We must realize that the life of discipleship can be maintained only when that life is totally given to Christ. This means letting nothing come in between. Allow neither gold nor silver, father nor mother, spouse nor child, life nor death, neither the contingencies of today nor the emergencies of tomorrow to ever come between who you are and Christ. Christ and his kingdom and the witness to a lost world alone is all that needs to matter in your daily living. Let nothing in your life take precedence over Jesus. It's Jesus and Jesus alone who must stand supreme in friendship and your fellow relationships, in your work and in your worship. In Christian discipleship, death to self is not an option; it's a necessity. When Christ calls a man, he bids him come and die to self. Death of your old self will come when Jesus enters your life and you dedicate yourself to doing His will. Remember, only the man who is dead to his own self, will willingly and with joy follow Christ. Nothing in this world can compare to what Jesus can and will do for you. There's nothing like meeting Jesus and having Him as your personal friend (My thoughts with quotes taken from the S.D.A. Adult S.S. Lesson for April 2015). Sherry
