Transformation By the Holy Spirit

Human beings have dreams, ambitions, and desires......however, so often a person thinks that he or she knows what is best for himself. Nothing could be further from the truth. Unless your heart and mind is transformed by the Holy Spirit into the likeness of Christ, your natural inclination is to serve your selfish, sinful desires. Sadly you won't realize just how destructive your ways are. However, when you consider God's qualifications, you'll see that you are clearly outmatched. God sees how the entire story of humanity unfolds from beginning to end, including the intricacies of your daily life and your most inward thoughts. When He equips you with His power your limitations become null and He then can direct your steps. If you remember that all of your circumstances are controlled by the divine will of a loving and more-than-capable God, you should have no problem trusting in Him. He is not a dictator who acts impulsively without the slightest regard for His subjects, but in fact the exact opposite is true. God constantly has you on His mind, and His will stems from His desire to spend eternity with you (My thoughts with thoughts from Steven Shaffer, contributor of the Collegiate Quarterly, pages 58,59, 2015).
