The Pathway To Life
Choose poverty, choose reproach, choose separation from friends, or any suffering rather than to defile your soul with sin. Choose death before dishonor. It is better to die than to sin; better to want than to defraud; better to hunger than to lie. Better to elevate your standards far higher than they are at the present time. You need to be moment by moment on guard of the paths you choose to follow. Satan daily offers you the kingdoms of this world in forms of trickery and subtle invitations to get you to yield in all the areas of your senses. Draw nearer and nearer to the pure light of Heaven, remembering that divine illumination will increase according to your onward movements and will in turn qualify you to meet new responsibilities and emergencies. The path of the just is a progressive one, from strength to strength, from grace to grace, and from glory to glory. Your path is headed in the right direction when Jesus is your on-going story (My thoughts with sentences from E.G. White Notes for the S.S. Lessons and the Collegiate Quarterly for January 2015).
