Look Up! Jesus is Your Helper

Contemplate this powerful statement from the Desire of Ages, page 490. "The omnipotent power of the Holy Spirit is the defense of every contrite soul. Not one that in penitence and faith has claimed His protection will Christ permit to pass under the enemy's power. The Saviour is by the side of His tempted and tried ones. With Him there can be no such thing as failure, loss, impossibility, or defeat; we can do all things through Him who strengthens us. When temptations and trials come, do not wait to adjust all the difficulties, but look to Jesus, your helper." He is always there waiting for you to call upon Him. He longs throughout your life to give you the comfort and strength you need at any given moment; at any and all times. And as that old song says: Whisper a prayer in the morning. Whisper a prayer at noon. Whisper a prayer in the evening to keep your heart in tune. Every now and again it's good to get a tune up for our heart and brain. God answers prayer at all times, because He's in the business of saving souls. Do you think that if you call upon the Holy Spirit in your time of need that God will have to think about sending Him to you? No, not when it regards your life.
