Hope for the Caregiver, Meaning in Suffering
1 Peter 1:7 says, "These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. it is being tested as fire test and purifies gold, and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world."
Many people are angry with God when bad things happen, but He does not make the plane crash, or causes the cancer or some other deadly disease to happen to us or take our loved ones. He does not make the boat sink, or the people die of starvation. We have to remember that we live in Satan's territory, and the wages of sin is death. While we live in this old world, there will be bad things that happen, it does not mean that God does not care. Human life always has a meaning, and this includes suffering, privation, and death. Regardless of circumstances, life must be lived with dignity and meaning. Never give up, there may be someone out there that could be helped and encouraged because of the things you are going through or had to go through. Try to find some meaning in your suffering today. Could we become a better person because of it? God makes good come out of all our suffering. Thoughts and words from Kay Kuzma
